No Time No Space explores the creative universe of Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas through architectural models, new paintings, and moving images. Bringing their work to Sicily for the first time, the exhibition reflects on space as a site of vision, transformation, and imagination, where architecture, art, and cinema continually inform one another.
Gathering together some of the defining projects of Studio Fuksas, the architectural models on view span more than two decades of practice, tracing a landscape of ideas that has shaped the studio’s research from the early 2000s to the present. From the SberCity Sports Center, conceived in relation to the landscape and the collective dimension of public space, to the Zenith Music Hall in Strasbourg and the projects for Gelendzhik Airport and The Ribbon for the Armani Charter House in Hong Kong, the selection reflects an architectural language in which form, movement, and experimentation continuously redefine the experience of the built environment.
Conceived for the space of Studio Casoli, four new paintings by Massimiliano Fuksas introduce a more instinctive and personal dimension of his practice. The film Chinese Honeymoon by Elisa Fuksas offers an intimate gaze into the making of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, where the act of construction unfolds through memory, time, and lived experience.
Studio Fuksas is recognised as one of the leading practices in contemporary architecture. With offices in Rome, Paris, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, the studio works across architecture, urban planning, and design. In 2000, Massimiliano Fuksas curated the 7th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, Less Aesthetics, More Ethics.
Among the studio’s major works are the Ferrari Headquarters and Research Centre in Maranello, the New Milan Trade Fair Complex (Fiera Milano), the Rome Convention Centre, La Nuvola, Armani Fifth Avenue in New York, Terminal 3 of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, and the Tbilisi Public Service Hall. Beyond its architectural practice, the studio has also developed design collaborations with Alessi, Poltrona Frau, Venini, and Bisazza.
